First Week Home
We had a busy first week home! We had a few visitors - Nita and April, Doug and Sharon, Matt and Stef, Lory, Gran Wendy and Grandma and Grandpa Stebbins were here every day until they had to go home to Florida. Emily also had her first doctors appointment. I was so surprised, we were actually On Time! Pretty good for new parents :) Shawn tested out our stroller as we shopped for an Easter outfit and we took our first family walk around the neighborhood. We celebrated her 1 week bday on St. Patty's Day at 8:49PM with a glass of champagne and a toast!
Here are some of our photos from the week. And yes, this is only "some" of them. Shawn is great at taking lots of pictures which is good because I always forget to use the camera.
1) We call this "The Shark"...I think she is ready to eat
2) Emily tried out her amusement park ride, the sweetpeace3) Napping with momma after a yummy lunch, or snack, or dinner. Not sure, they all blend together!
4) Bundled in her car seat. She looks like a T-Rex, no arms and legs...just feet and hands
5, 6, 7, 8) Testing out the stroller at the mall and around the neighborhood. The dogs def needed to get out of the house!
9) At the doctors - they blast the heat in those rooms. Good for baby, hot for momma who was already having a hot flash
10) Visiting with Lory - Thanks for making the long trip out to see us!!!
11) Mary and Dean enjoying their granddaughter. I'm surprised Grandma is holding her in this picture, Grandpa couldn't get enough cuddle time!
12 & 13) Going home outfit and our first change into PJs. The beginning of our time at home

First Day at the Hopsital
Welcome Emily Lauren Stebbins
Emily Lauren Stebbins was born on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 8:49 PM. She weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 3/4 inches long. As perfect as can be, she was born with a little bit of brown hair, light eye lashes and eye brows, and blue eyes. Labor was a total of 27 hours long but it only took 35 minutes to welcome her to the world once she was ready. Shawn did a great job as "coach" and photographer! All things considered, we enjoyed a great birth experience with a few twists and turns that make for a good story to tell her when she grows up.
